This is the paper writing marked A referred to in the affidavit of Ellen Mylrea & Ida Frances Mylrea sworn before me the 17th day of February 1921. JHDaymond A commissioner of the Supreme Court of Victoria for taking affidavits

This is the last will and testament of me John Mylrea of 119 Albert Street Windsor in the state of Victoria, gentleman. I revoke all testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me. I appoint my wife Ellen Mylrea and daughter Ida Frances hereinafter called my trustees to be the executrices of this my will. I give, devise and bequeath all my real and personal property to my trustees upon trust that they may during the lifetime of the said Ellen Mylrea if she shall so long remain my widow divide the income thereof equally between themselves the said Ellen Mylrea and the said Ida Frances and after the death or remarriage (whichever event happens first) upon trust for the said Ida Frances Mylrea for her own use and benefit absolutely and I declare that it is my wish that during the lifetime of my said wife she and my said daughter shall live together and that Nellie Bull and Frederick Charles Bull the children of my said wife by her first marriage shall live with them and that the whole of the income of my estate shall be devoted towards the upkeep of the household and also that after the death of my said wife my said daughter shall as far as possible assist the said Nellie Bull and Frederick Charles Bull but nothing in this clause contained shall be deemed to impose any legal obligation on the said Ida Frances Mylrea or on my said wife Ellen Mylrea. Signed by the testator and by him declared to be his last will and testament before us both present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of eachother have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.   1. John was the oldest surviving son of William Mylrea & Mary Mylrea, and born in Andreas on the Isle of Man in 1852
  2. His father William was the youngest son of Thomas Mylrea and Margaret Cowin of Braddan; his mother Mary was the youngest daughter of John Mylrea and Isabella Quayle of Michael
  3. John was a blacksmith like his father
  4. He migrated to Australia in 1882
  5. John married widow Ellen Bell, who already had two small children. John & Ellen had two daughters, Ida Frances & Bessie May (Bessie died in infancy)
  6. John left his family comfortably off because he had invented in real estate
  7. His daughter did not marry
